What Are Patents?

Patents are statutory rights of monopoly over inventions registered under the Patents Act 1990 (Cth). If you have invented something, whether it is a novel product or novel process, you may be entitled to register that and have a legally enforceable monopoly over it (ie. stop anyone else from exploiting it without your permission) for a number of years.

How Can We Help?

We can advise you whether your inventions are likely to be patentable, and if you would like to register patents over them, we can work with the most capable patent attorneys to help you do that.

If you already have patents, we can advise you about your rights and enforce those rights against other parties who infringe them.

We can also advise you as to whether your current or proposed business activities infringe upon specific patents you might be worried about, or defend you if you are sued by another party for breach of their patents.
